A Step Toward Safer Roads: AFSSG Successfully Held Its First MotorcycleSafety Riding Seminar
The Air Force Special Services Group (AFSSG) successfully held its 1st Motorcycle Safety Riding Seminar on April 17, 2026, at the VIP Lounge of the PAF Multi-purpose Gymnasium in CJVAB, Pasay City. The event brought together members of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) for a full day of learning and hands-on training focused on safer riding. The first half of the day was dedicated to classroom training on defensive riding, led by Coach Ariel Del Rosario, an LTO accredited lecturer. He guided the participants through the basics of being a responsible rider, showing how safe habits can protect not only themselves but also other people on the road. Topics like hand signals, right of way and proper braking were explained clearly to help everyone understand that road safety is a shared responsibility.

In the second half, the focus shifted to actual riding practice through MOSACO (Motorcycle Safety Comprehension), led by Sir Dave Danugrao and his team. Participants were taught proper posture, correct body position, and simple riding techniques that can make a big difference on the road. Discipline while riding was also emphasized throughout the session.
To wrap up the training, riders took on an obstacle course where they were able to apply what they had learned. It was a great way to test their skills, build confidence and improve their overall riding ability and leadership on group rides.

This marks the third time that Bike Night Asia has organized this kind of event, continuing its effort to promote safer riding. The seminar was held with the support of Col. Archibald Magbanua and Lt. Col. Jasper Ian Chan at Villamor Air Base, making it another meaningful step toward building a stronger and more safety-aware riding community.
The seminar left a lasting reminder that safe riding is a habit that should be practiced every day. With the knowledge and skills gained from the training, participants are now better prepared to ride with care, lead by example and help create safer roads for everyone.
