BIKE NIGHT ASIA BIKE OF THE WEEK: Honda Dio and Julio

This week's Bike Night Asia Bike of the Week: Honda Dio and Julio

Honda Dio

Honda Julio

Honda Dio and Julio are two of the most iconic scooters that Honda ever released, aimed predominantly at young people, these scooters are are considered to be Fashion Scooter at the time of their release.

Honda Dio, originally built in Japan is one of the most popular scooter to make it your own with the aftermarket parts being sold widely to increase the scooter's power. The Dio back then was praised for its cushioned seats an also a spacious under-seat compartment. The Dio was given a young design and a unisex feel. The Dio was meant for commuters who are looking for a scooter to travel short distances a day within the city and those who are new to riding a motorized two wheeler.

Honda Julio is another scooter created to target the young riders as well, focusing on the trends of 1988, Julio emphasizes classic fashions with slightly rounded, rectangular lines. Both the seat and the floorboards are flat giving the rider more freedom when it comes to body position. Julio features an air-cooled 2-stroke single-cylinder engine. Same as the Dio, this scooter is aimed to riders who are just starting out with riding a motorcycle.

These group of riders being fond of the timeless looks of the Dio and Julio have decided to stick to the scooters by restoring and reforming them into their former glory. These scooters does not only shows how these riders does not only value the the awesome looks and the performance of the scooters, but the heritage as well.

All credits are given to the owners of the scooters and Erickson Gatchalian for sharing.
