Make Marilaque Safe Again!
Along the notorious Marilaque Highway, the motorcycle community united on February 2, 2025, to promote road safety and awareness. Following the tragic accident that claimed one rider's life and put the lives of numerous others at risk, Riders for Make Marilaque Safe Again organized this event, which brought together important organizations and advocates committed to encouraging responsible riding.

MRO, RG, Arangkada, KFC, SBP, Angkasangga, PNP, Senator JV Ejercito, HPG-4A, HPG Rizal Provincial Advisory Group, Municipality of Tanay, University of Rizal System, LTO and well-known media figures Jay Taruc and Kim Atienza were among the notable organizations and individuals who participated in the movement. In order to prevent accidents along the Marilaque Highway, their combined presence highlighted the need of safe riding techniques and the necessity of more strict respect to traffic laws.

The event started off with a motorcade from Shell Bosoboso in Antipolo, with riders making their way towards the University of Rizal System in Tanay for the meeting. The convoy, composed of thousands of riders and safety advocates, was a powerful symbol of unity and commitment to road safety. Along the route, participants demonstrated disciplined riding, reinforcing the core message of the campaign.

Adding to the event’s significance, the Highway Patrol Group Rizal - Provincial Advisory Group also joined the initiative, further strengthening the collaboration between the riding community and law enforcement. Their involvement underscored the importance of working together to ensure that Marilaque remains a safe passage for all motorists.

This meeting was about bringing about long-lasting change, not simply about riding. Through raising awareness, pushing for improved road regulations and promoting safe riding practices, the movement seeks to drastically lower the number of traffic accidents on one of the most travelled highways by motorcycle riders.

As we move forward, the commitment to making Marilaque safe again does not end with this event. The momentum built on February 2 will serve as a foundation for continued efforts to promote road safety, ensuring that every ride on Marilaque is a safe one. Together, we ride for a safer future!
