Makina Moto Show 2023
Year 2023 hasn't reached halfway but it already gave much excitement and opportunities to the motorcycling community. The Makina Motoshow 2023 which is one of the best if not the best motorcycling events in the Philippines happened within a three day span last April 14, 15 and 16. The annual Makina Motoshow, which was spearheaded and organized by the ever passionate Mr. Zach Lucero started to make its mark to the country since 2017 and due to its success and the demand by the motorcycling community, it continued to prove its reputation up to the present year. Due to the continuing and ever-increasing support by the Philippine motorcycling community, Makina Moto Show never failed to provide fun and exciting activities to its attendees. Motorcycle manufacturers took this opportunity to introduce new models of motorcycles, well-known brands offered price markdowns for their products and services, and several known personalities, brand ambassadors and motovloggers also attended the said event. The event took place at the SMX Convention Center located in Pasay City.
One of the most notable aspects of the Makina Moto Show was how very organized and systematic its lineups of events were held. Organizers of the Makina Moto Show gave the participating booths with a respective timeslot to proceed with their programs thus attendees of the event gave their full undivided attention.
The Makina Moto Show never disappointed the Filipino riding community by providing most of the anticipated motorcycle manufacturers, brands, apparels, accessories, and tires. AlpineStars, Motul, KYT, and YSS Suspensions under InfiniteServ of Mr. Charlie Ong were present in the motoshow to exhibit the majority of their products and services. Shell Advance took this opportunity to present their full lineup of oils and lubricants to the attendees, along with this, they offered discounts and markdowns to their products. Repsol Philippines, one of the most prominent lubricant makers in the country, had price rebates for their motor oils and lubricants during the three-day event. MotoWorld/MotoMarket, a very recognized merchandiser of motorcycle accessories, apparels, and essentials occupied one of the biggest booths in the motoshow to showcase much of the goods they offer. Spyder Helmets offered markdowns on their prices and even invited several of their brand ambassadors to interact with the attendees. Primaax Tires, one of the top motorcycle tire makers in the country, offered a variety of tire sizes that could cater scooters and motorcycles.
As for motorcycle care essentials, Koby brand had participated as well. A well-recognized brand, Koby Motor Care Philippines displayed most of their products during the event for maintenance enthusiasts and gearheads.
As stated earlier, most motorcycle manufacturers which participated in the moto show unveiled several of their new models. Ducati Philippines introduced their upcoming model, the 2023 Ducati Multistrada Rally. Mr. Naj Abdul, a renowned motovlogger and an owner of the Ducati Multistrada, was invited to share his testimonies regarding his previous Multistrada, its technical aspects and features, and how he is looking forward to the improvements and added functions to the New Ducati Multistrada Rally which will make riding the motorcycle much easier.
Mutt Motorcycles also participated in the Makina Moto Show in a booth which exhibited their classic and retro-looking motorcycles. Their booth had a constant stream of attendees which admired most of their retro bikes. They have also introduced 3 of their new retro classic motorcycles which are the Mushman, the RS13b, and the GTSR which are vintage-inspired custom styled motorcycles.
BMW Motorrad celebrated its 100th year anniversary by introducing a certified icon, the 2023 BMW R nineT. A special edition of a well-known motorcycle, this distinct motorcycle from BMW will only be produced at a very limited quantity. BMW will certainly give the future owners of the R nineT 100th year anniversary edition a feel of its '"100 Years of Pure Passion".

CFMoto Philippines also took this opportunity to introduce a certified banger in the middle weight class. An ultra-lightweight machine, capable of bringing power through swift acceleration and yet very nimble in cornering, the all new 2023 CFMoto 800NK. Derived from the KTM 799cc powerplant and was also designed by Kiska, the same company which conceptualizes designs for KTM, this new motorcycle will certainly be one of the most sought-after bikes in the year 2023. CFMoto 800NK had an energetic introduction during the Makina Moto Show due to the spirited presentation of Mr. Billy Crawford, a well-known celebrity, It's Showtime host, an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and CFMoto Philippines' brand ambassador.
The Makina Moto Show never had a shortage of introduction for the Adventure bike segment. Benelli Philippines also had one on their arsenal, the introduction of one of the most awaited middle weight adventure-tourer motorcycle, the TRK702 and TRK702X. First introduced in EICMA, one of the grandest motorcycle events in Europe, the TRK702 and TRK702X had been much anticipated by Benelli Philippines' enthusiasts. Powered by a 693cc twin cylinder engine, this new adventure-tourer bike will take on the mixed conditions of Philippine roads with ease due to its power and torque.
A very familiar motorcycle brand to Filipinos also took part in the Makina Moto Show. A brand loved by Filipinos, Kawasaki Philippines introduced an all new motorcycle that could appease the Philippine demand. With its partnership with Bajaj, a respectable and renowned motorcycle brand in India, Kawasaki Philippines unveiled the 2023 Kawasaki Pulsar N250. A 250cc single cylinder motorcycle, with its street fighter profile, the Pulsar N250 was officially launched in the Makina Moto Show and was introduced by Kawasaki executives in cooperation with several prominent lady motovloggers in the Philippines.
Suzuki Philippines wouldn't let this grand event come to pass. They officially introduced 2 of their new models during the Makina Moto Show, the 2023 Suzuki Burgman EX and the 2023 V-Strom 1050 DE.
A very prominent European brand, Husqvarna, participated in the event by unveiling their new model of motorcycle. Tagged as a proud "Filipino Assembled" motorcycle, the new 2023 Husqvarna Norden 901 is built in the KAMMI (KTM) Manufacturing plant in the Philippines. This motorcycle is powered by a twin cylinder 889cc engine that will surely soothe the thrill of power and torque by new and experienced Filipino riders.
As for the scooter segment, several scooter manufacturers had also taken this opportunity supported by Makina's head, Mr. Zach Lucero, to introduce their respective new models.
Kymco Philippines spearheaded the introduction of their scooter model, the 2023 Kymco Xciting VS400. With its updated styling, the VS400 boasts its new design by having an aggressive looking profile paired up with a large windshield that is capable to reduce the rider's body stress due to wind at highway speeds. Much of the attendees were anticipating this new update for the Kymco Xciting model as it is one of the best priced and sought-after maxiscoot models in the country. Powered by a 400.1cc single cylinder engine, a familiar power plant to its predecessors, the New Xciting VS400 is certified to have its top notch quality. Aside from the new Xciting VS400, Kymco also introduced several new colors for the Kymco Like 125i Italia and 150i.
A new motorcycle manufacturer had been introduced during the Makina Moto Show. A European brand well known for manufacturing sports cars, Peugeot took this opportunity to let the attendees be familiar of their motorcycle manufacturing capabilities. Handled locally by Motostrada, the same company which brought CFMoto and MV Agusta to the Philippines, they unveiled the all new 2023 Peugeot XP400 maxiscoot. Mr. Billy Crawford also took part in the introduction of this new scooter model from Peugeot.
Within a span of three days, the Makina Moto Show had so much to offer to Filipinos. Appeasing the demand of the Filipinos for new models of motorcycles, this event never had a dull moment. It was an avenue for motorcycle brands and manufacturers to showcase much of their bikes that were very much anticipated by the Filipino People. With its success, we can very much compare the event of Mr. Zach Lucero to Europe's EICMA event, which is one of the grandest motorcycling events in the world.
