Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A Tree Planting and Unity Ride 2025 hosted by HPG - Provincial Advisory Group Rizal

A powerful show of community engagement, environmental advocacy and unity. The Highway Patrol Group - Provincial Advisory Group (HPG-PAG) Rizal, in collaboration with the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A (RHPU 4A), successfully held a Tree Planting and Unity Ride last Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Sitio San Ysiro, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal.
The event brought together law enforcement personnel, environmental advocates and motorcycle enthusiasts in a shared mission to protect the environment and strengthen bonds within the community. The initiative aimed not only to promote sustainable practices through tree planting but also to foster solidarity among riders and residents alike.
The day started with a Unity Ride — a convoy of riders from the Highway Patrol Group Region 4A and the HPG - Provincial Advisory Group Rizal. The ride served to highlight the importance of road safety, responsible motorcycling and community involvement. The convoy’s route passed through key areas in Antipolo, drawing attention and admiration from locals.

The presence of the RHPU 4A ensured safety and order throughout the activity, with officers coordinating traffic and maintaining security. The ride was not only symbolic of unity among riders but also served as a reminder of the vital role of law enforcement in fostering peace and collaboration within communities.

Key personnel from RHPU 4A were present to ensure the event's success, including PCOL Israel P. Mori, Regional Chief, RHPU 4A, together with PLTCOL Elmer Bao and PMAJ Rowena Apolinario, whose leadership and coordination played an essential role in inspiring participants through their presence and support throughout the day’s activities.

Also in attendance were officers from PHPT Rizal, headed by PMAJ Bienvenido B. Probadora, along with PHPT Rizal officers and staff who actively participated in the event.

The Provincial Advisory Group (PAG) of Rizal, with Dr. Joel M. Sy Egco, Spokesperson of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) and its officers and members, proudly joined the initiative.

Support also came from the NAVRESCOM Group, the PNP Medical Team and the PNP SAF 72SAC. 7SAB, who ensured that participants’ safety and welfare were prioritized throughout the day. The DENR PENRO likewise provided technical support and guidance on proper tree planting practices, ensuring the sustainability of the project.

Local government support was also given, with the Barangay San Jose, Sitio San Ysiro, Antipolo City, represented by Mr. Marvin Advincula, Barangay Chairman, who warmly welcomed participants and expressed gratitude for choosing their community as the venue for this environmental initiative.

Following the Unity Ride, A Tree Planting Activity took place at Sitio San Ysiro, a rural area in the Sierra Madre mountain range known for its rich biodiversity and vital role in protecting Metro Manila from flooding and climate-related disasters. Hundreds of saplings were planted, symbolizing the participants' commitment to environmental conservation and climate action.
This event is part of the ongoing efforts of the HPG-PAG Rizal and RHPU 4A to build stronger ties with the community and promote proactive citizenship through service-oriented programs. By integrating environmental action and community partnership, the groups hope to set a precedent for similar initiatives across the region.
With the success of the Tree Planting and Unity Ride, the organizers have expressed interest in making this an annual tradition. Future plans include more comprehensive environmental programs, educational seminars and broader participation from stakeholders across CALABARZON.
