RIDER'S PASSION: EuTista

RIDER'S PASSION: EuTista
Rider's Passion: EuTista - his ride and his camera.

Just like all the people who we feature here in Bike Night Asia, EuTista or Jayson Narvaez is one of the many who do not only use his bike as a mode of transportation but loves using it as well that it has become a part of who he is. Let's find out how he started he hobbies and these hobbies turned to his passion.

Jayson started to learn and rode a motorcycle at the age of 18, the legal age to drive one as well as the legal time to get a license. The first motorcycle that he have ridden was from his own pocket from his first job. Honda's Wave 124 which, by that time the head turner for underbones, was his first ride and where everything has started, from riding from one place to another for leisure to his passion - photography.

Why ride a motorcycle? Jayson has been been in love with motorcycles even before he turned 18 to legally drive, he said "Bata palang ako, may inner Rossi at Marquez na ako". He would love to join in races but unfortunately, his knees becomes butter on high speeds. He would jokingly say that he can only do a 120kph ride from one place to another, that's 60kph going there and 60kph going back. Other than his fascinations bikes, he also have the typical reasons. Easy parking, Less gas consumption and Filtering capabilities to avoid the long and winding traffic jams of the metro.

Photography wasn't something that Jayson has planned, it wasn't something that he thought he'd be doing out of motorcycling. His love for photography started out as just a supposedly a normal photo. They're just in Marilaque waiting for someone when he decided to take a snap of a passing by rider, he took his phone out and tried to shoot. It was a panning shot of the rider, a photo he didn't expect to capture as he doesn't have any photography background. He was overjoyed with the result and his passion started, he then be on regular ride to Marilaque for the same purpose with his phone. After some time, he saved enough money to buy him a decent camera and gear to fuel his passion. This is where EuTista started his photography career, from 2021 and the rest is history.

Jayson continued his path as a photographer side by side with his day job and this comes with it's own downsides as well. Life, Work and Hobby-balance is one thing that is hard to maintain and Jayson's wasn't different. His work takes him 75km away from his home and kid, a daily journey that he takes 5 days straight in a week but this didn't stopped him to continue his hobby. Instead of resting on the weekends, he balances these two remaining days to hid kid and his hobby.

He said there isn't much of a payoff with this hobby, other from the occasional tips from riders who are happy with their random shots, there isn't much of a compensation but the gratitude, the appreciation and the friends he's making is all worth it and enough to make him continue doing what he do. The looks in the face of the happy riders and the overflowing "Thank you" is the price that he is being paid with every shots that he takes.

Aspiring to be one of the best in the line that he is now trudging to, Jayson is working hard and giving it his bestest to be recognized as one of the finest. This is so that "I can still do my day job and my passion while earning enough at the same time" according to him. The best job is the job where you are enjoying it as a hobby and never think of this "Job" as a job after all right? Every single ride for Jayson and every single photo that he takes is the best experience for the two days that he can do this, it almost seems like his weekends are the days that he is actually enjoying the most. Though limited, he is meeting new awesome people, going to exciting places and the best line that we have heard from Jayson "Living what the day has to offer" is what drives him to strive better for his endeavors and his kid.

This is Jayson Narvaez and this is his passion.
