Shell Advance City Scooter Oil Launch at 2025 Makina Moto Expo
Shell Pilipinas has recently introduced Shell Advance City Scooter motor oil, specifically formulated to meet the unique demands of urban scooter riders. Launched on Saturday, April 3, 2025, during the second day of Makina Moto Expo 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Shell Advance City Scooter stood out among the three lubricants formulated for scooters, as it was already sold out hours before the official launch.
Shell Advance City Scooter 10W-40 is a fully synthetic lubricant that caters to the needs of everyday riders in the Philippines. It provides robust protection against wear and corrosion, extending engine life even in frequent stop-and-go traffic—typical of city commuting—while ensuring consistent performance.
According to Ms. Jannah Surposa, Shell Advance Brand Manager, the Shell Advance City Scooter 10W-40 can protect engines through up to 354 starts and stops daily due to traffic, enhancing performance for smoother rides. It also actively prevents dirt particles from accumulating, ensuring a cleaner and more efficient engine for urban riding.
Aside from Shell Advance City Scooter 10W-40, the other two lubricants formulated for scooters include AX7 Scooter Semi-Synthetic, which over the years has delivered good performance, protection against wear and tear, and maintained engine cleanliness compared to competitors.
Considered the top-tier product in Shell's scooter lubricant lineup, the Advance Ultra Scooter Fully Synthetic lubricant is engineered for power performance, delivering higher acceleration compared to premium mineral oils.
For scooter owners, delivery riders, and motorcycle taxi drivers navigating the bustling streets of Metro Manila and other urban areas, Shell Advance City Scooter 10W-40 offers a reliable solution for smooth engine performance while maintaining engine cleanliness.
The product will be available at an SRP of P325 in most motorcycle shops nationwide and on major e-commerce platforms starting May 2025.
