Shell Advance Masters 2024 Nationwide Mekaniko League kicked off in Cebu City
The Shell Advance Masters, an exciting initiative under the Ride ng Buhay Mo campaign, has made a remarkable debut in Cebu City, Philippines. Focused on the talented mechanics who work closely with Shell Advance, this event aims to showcase their skills and motorcycle engine mastery. Held at D' Family Park in Cebu City, the event marked a significant milestone not only for Shell Advance but the mechanics as well, bringing together mechanics from across the Visayas region, including Romblon, Leyte, and Bohol to name a few.
The Shell Advance Masters event was designed not only to highlight the expertise of mechanics but also to boost their morale and instill confidence among riders about the skills of their trusted mechanics. The event featured three distinct segments, each aimed at testing and showcasing the mechanics' knowledge and proficiency.
Round One: Mechanic Workshop
The first segment, the Mechanic Workshop, was a classroom training setup where mechanics were put to the test with their technical knowledge. This segment also included a short seminar led by Bryan Landicho, a TESDA Tibet Trainer and Competency Assessor for Small Engine Servicing NCII. The seminar provided valuable insights and updates on the latest advancements in motorcycle maintenance and repair.
Round Two: Mastery Phase
The second segment, known as the Mastery Phase, shifted the focus to the motorcycle parts. This phase tested the mechanic's familiarity with the motorcycle, ensuring they understood the intricacies of the engine. This segment emphasized the importance of the mechanic's knowledge of the parts and its use in maintaining peak motorcycle performance.
Round Three: Masters Face Off
The final segment, Masters Face Off, was the ultimate test of mastery. Five mechanics went head-to-head, showcasing their skills in a series of challenging tasks that required precision, speed, and in-depth knowledge of motorcycle engines and diagnosis.
The Shell Advance Masters event provided a unique space for mechanics to gain recognition and take pride in their craftsmanship. The event ended in the awarding of a brand new Honda Click 125i to the winner, who also earned the opportunity to compete nationally with other masters from different regions as the initiative continues.
