HILTS 125CC: THE PERFECT BLEND OF STYLE AND POWER
Mutt Motorcycles, a british brand specialising in custom retro-style motorcycles, entered the Philippine market in 2021, initially partnering with United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) and has since expanded with showrooms in Clark and plans for Metro Manila.
Recently the manufacturer released the Hilts 125CC. The first thing that you will notice on this bike is the colour scheme that Mutt utilised. The gloss grey tank design with the Mutt logo on the side matches the black frame colour, giving the bike a modern retro classic look.
The Hilts weighs 127 kilograms and has a 14 litres fuel capacity, making it ideal for long rides where you may travel freely without stopping frequently. Depending on how many litres of fuel the tank can contain, it is lighter than the other 125cc classic bike. Since Filipinos are known for having low average heights, the seat height is appropriate for Filipinos. The bike is just 780 millimetres tall, which is close to the scooters in the Philippines.
In terms of appearance, the handlebar is a black tracker, and the seat features a black diamond design that you will also see on the grips. It is equipped with 4.00 x 18 sports wheels with blacked-out spokes and rims and deep knobby tread tires. The headlight is made of halogen with a black headlight grill to add aesthetics.
The engine displacement of Hilts is 125cc, with a 5-speed manual transmission that can produce up to 12 horsepower and 10nm of torque. It is also equipped with Delphi fuel injections for less fuel consumption.
According to those who have already tested and reviewed this bike, its only drawbacks are the brake and cooling system. The Hilts 125cc only features a combined braking system (CBS) and an air-cooled engine. In contrast, some motorcycles of the same price are already equipped with a liquid-cooled engine cooling system and an anti-lock braking system (ABS) channel for braking.
