Shell Advance Masters Season 2 - La Union

Shell Advance Masters Season 2 - La Union

Shell Advance Masters Season 2 rolled into San Fernando North Central School, La Union, on a mission to discover the town's most exceptional motorcycle mechanic. Even as heavy rains drenched the venue and sent shivers down spines, the mechanics' fiery passion never wavered; instead, they brought an unforgettable heat to the competition itself. This event isn't just a competition; it's a powerful statement about the critical role skillful mechanics play in motorcycle maintenance and, by extension, road safety.

Before the highly anticipated competition began, the mechanics attended a crucial seminar led by Mr. Bryan Landicho, a TESDA trainer and national assessor. He provided a thorough refresher on essential engine fundamentals and the best practices for mechanics, ensuring everyone had the foundational knowledge needed to excel in the competition and in their everyday work.

The moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived! The competition kicked off, and La Union's finest mechanics immediately began showcasing their impressive skills and deep knowledge of motorcycle maintenance. The atmosphere was electric, with each mechanic demonstrating laser-focused determination in a truly fierce display of expertise.

The competition kicked off with a written examination, designed to ensure participants had thoroughly grasped the crucial information and insights shared during the initial seminar. This foundational round was key to verifying their theoretical understanding before moving on to the practical challenges.

Next, participants faced a visual test, where examiners assessed their understanding of a motorcycle's Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This round specifically evaluated how well qualifiers could visually identify and were familiar with the various components of this critical system.

The final round was underway, bringing the coveted prize within reach for the last five contenders. This ultimate challenge was a demanding hands-on diagnostic and repair test: each mechanic was presented with an unmaintained motorcycle and tasked with thoroughly inspecting and servicing it to demonstrate their real-world expertise.

After a series of rigorous tests, one mechanic stood above the rest: Mr. Orville Rafanan was crowned the Shell Advance Masters Season 2 Regional Master of La Union! He has now secured his spot to compete against other Regional Masters from across the Philippines, where he'll compete for the ultimate title of "Shell Advance Master 2025."

Let's tune in to see if La Union's master can conquer the Shell Advance Master 2025!
