Kasama Riders and P.A.R.S. Freedom Ride and Breakfast Rides
Kasama Riders and P.A.R.S. have successfully completed their Independence Day ride last June 12, 2022 at Infanta, Quezon discussing the Karapatan, Kapakanan at Kaligtasan ng Motoristang Pilipino. The Independence Day ride started at Shell Pugon with the aim of riding to Infanta to discuss the above matters.

With more than 60 participants, the ride to Infanta, Quezon wasn't just for leisure. It is held to uphold 3 things, the Rights, Welfare and Safety of our fellow riders. Here's what has been discussed.

KARAPATAN (RIGHTS)
1. With the laws being passed concerning the motorcycle riders, it should be a given fact to consult first the concerned people, which are the riders when creating, discussing and approving laws.
2. Fight the discrimination against the riders specially the ladies and LGBTQIA.
3. Fight or review the Doble Plaka Law or promote the RFID System for all vehicles including motorcycles.
4. Make the Training Requirements to get a driver's license and Motor Vehicle Inspection System (MVIS) free for everyone.

KAPAKANAN (WELFARE)
1. The Protection and Security of our fellow riders in the delivery/courier sector.
2. Have Motorcycle Taxi Law be submitted and approved by the congress.
3. Support the welfare-based projects of the riders like establishment of cooperatives.

KALIGTASAN (SAFETY)
1. Establish the Philippine Road Safety Institute.
2. Create a focal office on Road Safety Program within DOTR.
3. Enforce Low Speed Limit on Busy Street
4. Free, accessible and Relevant Road Safety Education for All.

Truly, there has been many laws that are already in the congress both approved and being reviewed, but with the changes and the things that are currently happening in our society right now, we really need to review all the laws governing the motorcycle community to promote the Karapatan, Kapakanan at Kaligtasan ng Motoristang Pilipino.

Congratulations Philippine Advocates Road Safety and Kasama Riders for a successful and meaningful event!
